1979 Mercedes-Benz, model 240-D, 4 door sedan. Blueprints of 240-D limousine provided by Daimler-Benz A.G., Stuttgart, West Germany.

Carving Detail:
All visible details of actual Mercedes-Benz limousine are present: head lamps, grill, windshield wipers, door handles, uffler and tailpipe, tail lights, trunk latch, hub caps. Two details omitted for fear of vandalism: hood ornament, side view mirror.

Sandblast Detail:
Fine detail that makes sculpture look exactly like authentic automobile…chrome around grill, lens of tail light, hub caps…accentuated with thin sandblasted lines. Technique is borrowed from ancient Roman craftsmen.
